In the new Whitney Houson biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Houston’s mother has police escort her daughter from her home (in front of her young daughter, Bobbi Kristina) after finding Houston in a drug-fueled stupor following her father’s death. We next see Houston in tranquil recovery at a rehab center, and later, a recreation of her emotional comeback performance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009. The film excises most of the 2000s from Houston’s story, including her starring role in 2005’s disturbing reality series Being Bobby Brown.

In the claim, Sgt. Brian Weir alleges that on the day Houston died in February 2012, Det. Sgt. Terry Nutall arrived at the scene, and "for no legitimate law enforcement inquiry, investigative, or other proper and legal purpose ... removed the sheet and/or other covering from the body ... to an area below the pubic region." The claim also alleges he made comments to the effect that the former pop star "looked attractive for a woman of her age and current state" and "Damn, she's still looking good, huh?"

Whitney Houston music sales skyrocket
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Whitney Houston's music skyrocketed to the top of the charts in the wake of the singer's death, which was announced on Saturday.
Houston's recordings ruled the top 175 songs on Apple's (APPL) iTunes on Monday, led by her recording of the Dolly Parton song, "I Will Always Love You."
"I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and "Greatest Love of All," both from Houston's "The Greatest Hits" album, clocked in at numbers two and three [2.13.12]

Dionne Warwick cancels concert after cousin Whitney Houston's death
Dionne Warwick has postponed a Valentine's Day concert at a western Pennsylvania theater after the death of her cousin Whitney Houston.
Warwick's concert at The Palace Theater in Greensburg will instead be held March 2. Tickets for Tuesday night's concert will be honored for the new show.
Warwick is a Grammy Award-winning singer known for such hits as "Do You Know The Way to San Jose," ''I'll Never Fall in Love Again" and "That's What Friends Are For."
Houston was found dead in her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday. The cause of her death is being investigated. [2.13.12]

The pair can be seen all glammed up in the first shot released from the film, a remake of the blockbuster about how a girl group experiences turmoil after one of their members turns to drugs and another achieves their desired fame alone.
Houston, 48, – who has struggled with addiction herself in the past - plays the role of parent Emma.
