Garage-rock group from Minneapolis, Minnesota: Tony Andreason, Dal Winslow and Rob Reed (guitars), with Steve Wahrer (drums). Both of their Billboard Top hits were taken from tunes by The Rivingtons: Surfin' Bird from Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow and Bird Dance Beat from The Birds The Word. Steve Wahrer died of cancer on Jan. 21, 1989, age 47.
