The Shahs of Sunset could never be described as a shy and retiring bunch
Madonna (born Madonna Louise Ciccone August 16, 1958) has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognized as the world's best-selling female recording artist of all time by Guinness World Records. Considered to be one of the "25 Most Powerful Women of the Past Century" by Time for being an influential figure in contemporary music, she is known for continuously reinventing both her music and image, and for retaining a standard of autonomy within the recording industry. Critics have praised her diverse musical productions which have also served as a lightning rod for controversy.

"Papa Don't Preach" was written by Brian Elliot with additional lyrics by Madonna, and produced by Stephen Bray and Madonna for her third studio album True Blue, released in June 1986. The song also appears remixed on the 1990 compilation album The Immaculate Collection and in its original form on the 2009 compilation album Celebration. The song's musical style combines pop and classical stylings, and its lyrics deal with teenage pregnancy and abortion. It was based on teen gossip Elliot heard outside his studio, which has a large front window that doubles as a mirror where schoolgirls from the North Hollywood High School in Los Angeles regularly stopped to fix their hair and chat.
Madonna called this "a message song that everyone is going to take the wrong way." The line "I've made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby," caused anti-abortion groups to praise Madonna and abortion-rights groups to criticize her. Madonna refused to take a stance on the issue.

Madonna is already dubbed the Queen of Pop, so fans of the iconic singer probably aren't surprised that she tops VH1's "100 Greatest Women in Music" list. Madonna Promises 'High Energy' On 'MDNA'The network's weeklong countdown wraps up Friday and features the greatest female artists of the last 20 years (those who have released music from 1990 to today). The list includes the likes of P.J. Harvey, Sheryl Crow, the Spice Girls, Miley Cyrus, Cher, Aaliyah, Ke$ha, Florence and the Machine, Liz Phair, M.I.A. and the White Stripes drummer Meg White, to name a few. Madonna Calls M.I.A.'s Super Bowl Stunt 'Out of Place,' 'Irrelevant'
The Queen of Pop is unsurprising- ly unhappy that M.I.A. stole her thunder by flipping off America during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show. Madonna called into “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” today to publicly share her thoughts on the controversy.
“I was really surprised,” she said. “I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager … irrelevant thing to do … there was such a feeling of love and unity there what was the point? It was just out of place.” It remains to be seen if the FCC will fine NBC for M.I.A.’s stunt. After Janet Jackson’s 2004 Super Bowl exposure, the FCC increased the fine for each indecent act to $325,000, which means that M.I.A.’s combined expletive and middle finger could cost as much as $650,000. [2.10.12] Music Video Dissect: Madonna - 'Give Me All Your Luvin'
As with many of Madonna’s most recent videos, behind the glitz and glam there seems to be a secret collection of shots that have somehow interweaved with the primary theme of the video. The secret shots in this instance are displayed on a brick wall backdrop and appear to be the ongoing tests of what happens when you leave a Madge unattended under the fizzling heat of the spotlight. I like to call them “Madgic Moments”. The horrible two handed ‘wassup’ at 1.31, the already mentioned baby catcher at 1.46, the over-inviting thigh stance of 1.55 and the case of heebie jeebies at 3.13.
The video on the whole however seems to be an insight into what a trip to a club would look like under the influence of MDNA( her new album title, I’m not that corny). Emerging ‘Stars in their Eyes’ style from her home, Madonna is guided by an army of footballers across some troublesome golden puddles of doom. She is even elevated to walk across walls, just for when that walking on level ground business just gets a bit tedious. If that wasn’t enough Tommy gun protection is also provided. MDNA is the dream. A Spanish man has been arrested in connection with the leak of Madonna’s forthcoming single “Gimme All Your Luvin.” The 31-year-old Zaragozan resident’s name has not been released, though his initials have — J.M.R. — and the detail that he’s “a big Madonna fan,” according to MTV.
