Rob Finnerty to Lead Newsmax’s Prime Time Lineup Newsmax names veteran news anchor and broadcaster Rob Finnerty host of “Finnerty,” leading the cable news network’s primetime lineup at 8:00 pm ET, debuting on October 8. For the past four years, Finnerty has been co-host of Newsmax’s “Wake-Up America” morning program with Sharla McBride. Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy says, “Rob has demonstrated success in our morning show and connects with our audience in a powerful way, and we believe he will continue that success in primetime.” Finnerty comments, “For far too long cable news has been a monolith – with very few options available to the American people, but Newsmax is proof that the model is changing, and I feel incredibly honored to be a part of that change. Ever since I got here, Newsmax has kept growing and growing, which is amazing for this industry. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and I am so grateful to Newsmax and its team led by CEO Chris Ruddy.”.(Talkers 10/3/24) READ MORE>>>>> |

Rep. Waltz to Newsmax: Secret Service Action 'Overdue'
Multiple Secret Service agents were put on leave after the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, which is "welcome news" and "overdue," said Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., a retired Green Beret appointed to the 13-member House bipartisan task force investigating the incident. "News to us, although it's welcome, welcome news," Waltz told
Newsmax congressional correspondent Kilmeny Duchardt. "I think it's a bit overdue. Every law enforcement agency I've worked with when there's been a major incident like this that involved them or some type of failure, they were immediately put on leave, paid, but put on leave and kind of sidelined pending the outcome of the investigation. "The fact that now for what over a month, the same agents that were involved in this major failure were still out there approving security plans and providing security was alarming to many of us." Newsmax Touts Dubious Trump Trial Facebook Post: ‘This Needs to Be a Mistrial Immediately’
Newsmax host Lidia Curanaj reported on Merchan’s letter as news of it broke, passing off the comment as fact. Meanwhile, guest and attorney Mehek Cooke bit hook, line, and sinker. “Apparently a juror alerted a relative, his cousin, about the verdict a day before the verdict was delivered,” Curanaj said. “And then that cousin of the juror posted on Facebook that Trump was going to be found guilty. It’s unclear as to how this could possibly impact the ongoing legal proceedings. Judge Juan Merchan notified Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche. What do you think about this? Is this a big deal?” (MediaIte 6/7/24) READ MORE>>>>>

Newsmax's Greg Kelly says it is “in a weird way, against the law” to not refer to Donald Trump as president
MEHEK COOKE (GUEST): He definitely does. President is a term that should be allotted to President Trump, even when he's no longer president. Again, these are political tactics that are inside a courtroom. And this is a circus led by this judge who has been biased this whole time. This case should be dismissed, but we're seeing a lot of facts unfold. Everybody is going to President Trump's side because they're tired of the biased justice system. You're trying to beat this man down and he continues to win. This is despicable. This judge needs to go.

Fox News slapped with defamation suit for smearing innocent man as 'neo-Nazi murderer'
A Texas man has sued Fox News, Newsmax and other right-wing media outlets for falsely smearing him as a "neo-Nazi murderer" following a mass shooting last year at an outlet mall. The lawsuit alleges that Fox News,
Newsmax, Univision, Timcast, Steven Crowder, Owen Shroyer, Simon Ateba and Hollywood Unlocked all falsely identified 36-year-old Mauricio Garcia as the gunman who killed nine people and wounded seven others May 6, 2023, at Allen Premium Outlets. The actual shooter was a 33-year-old man with the same name who was later killed by police in the same area on an unrelated call.

Trump's Newsmax VP brag: "I'd have a Democrat." I say: Don't let this go.
The Trump braggadocio fumbles keep coming and this one about who wants to be his VP, begs us to pick it up and run with it. From his recent Newsmax interview with Greg Kelly at about 1:35 mark on this link shown by Colbert last night. (Scroll down to the Colbert You Tube segment). Here’s the exact quote about his VP search, said on camera (CAPS are mine) “ There’s not a person in politics that doesn’t want it and THAT INCLUDES DEMOCRATS. If I wanted I’d have a Democrat, I’d have a Liberal, I’d have ANYBODY I want.”

Look, I’m no fan of communist China. They are raping the globe of natural resources at like five times the carbon footprint of everyone else, and they’re using slaves to do it. We should definitely be doing everything in our power to break their back. B |
Newsmax Host Calls TikTok Ban ‘The Dumbest Legislation I’ve Seen Yet’ After Majority of Republicans Vote in Favor
Newsmax host Carl Higbie tore into House Republicans on Wednesday for voting for a bill that could effectively ban the popular app TikTok, calling it “the dumbest legislation I’ve seen yet.” Reacting to the success of the bill on his show Carl Higbie Frontline, Higbie protested, “In order to stop the influence from China, the U.S. government, or at least Congress, has become more like China.” After confessing that he was “super nervous about the precedent” that the bill could set, Higbie said: I’ll be honest, at first I thought, hey, maybe this might be a good idea to cut off China’s influence, but then I got to thinking about it. The language in this bill, at least what I’ve read, is super broad and will absolutely, absolutely 100% be used to shut down media that whoever’s in charge doesn’t agree with. This is a Trojan Horse. Not Even Tucker Carlson’s Fox News Firing Could Save Newsmax
Just a few months ago, Newsmax was riding high. The MAGA network watched its ratings soar after disgruntled Fox News viewers ditched the conservative cable giant after it shockingly fired Tucker Carlson. Exploiting the MAGA rage against Fox over kicking its top right-wing star to the curb, Newsmax leaned even harder into its already over-the-top pro-Trump ethos, bluntly signaling to viewers that this was the channel to turn to for all their conservative comfort content needs. They even went so far as to not-so-subtly suggest that Carlson could potentially join their airwaves. (Justin Baragona/Daily Beast 12/27/23) READ MORE>>>>>

Newsmax Host Is Now Sorry For Walking Out On 'Important Guest' Mike Lindell
Newsmax host Bob Sellers pulled a stunning about-face Wednesday after walking out on conspiracy-spewing Mike Lindell during an interview. The anchor apologized for the dramatic exit and called the Trump-supporting MyPillow CEO a “friend of the network” and “an important guest.” (See the video below.) In a shocking viral moment earlier this week, Sellers attempted to silence Lindell as the bedding mogul ranted about what even the far-right network host called unsubstantiated election fraud claims. When that didn’t work, Sellers walked off the set, leaving colleague Heather Childers to finish the chat. Newsmax remains firmly in the camp of ex-President Donald Trump, but has eased away from some of the lies asserted by Trump and his allies. That includes Lindell’s falsehoods about rigged Dominion Voting Systems machines. The company has threatened legal action against Newsmax, prompting the network to stop repeating the voting machine claim and to police its guests’ comments. (Dominion also has sent a cease-and-desist warning to Lindell, but it hasn’t stopped him.) (Yahoo 2/4/21) READ MORE>>>>>
