Fox News to Pull Back Curtain on How It Makes Election Day State Calls
Sitting in a ground floor studio at Fox’s New York headquarters Monday, Baier and his election night co-anchor Martha MacCallum expressed confidence in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that they will deliver compelling TV, even if the outcome remains uncertain for some time. They also acknowledged the sense of dread and anxiety the country is feeling that comes with an event with such high stakes. “This is an emotional story for Americans. People have been stressed about this election, and I think they trust us,” MacCallum says. “We have been erring on the side of over-explaining the stuff that we’re looking at, so that people — we know they’re walking by, they’re watching for 20 minutes and they’re coming back again — we want to make sure that we go through it so that it is actually useful to them.” (Hollywood Reporter 11.5.24) READ MORE>>>>>

‘I’m the ‘Ratings Machine!”: Donald Trump fires back at critics, denies calling Fox News after Harris’s Convention speech
The New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd stated in an opinion piece that the former president called Fox News and “followed up the posts with a scream-of-consciousness call, filibustering Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum for ten minutes until Baier abruptly cut him off to throw to the Greg Gutfeld comedy show,” reported The Hill. 10/19/28: Rick Manning: Townhall: Why This Election’s Battle For The Supreme Court Matters More Than Anything Else
|
October 19, 2024: Manning posted on Townhall: In a variety of Second Amendment cases ranging from the Heller decision to the more recent New York Rifle and Pistol Association decision, the individual rights of citizens to keep and bear arms have been affirmed, with state and local government attempts to abridge them being declared unconstitutional. Not shockingly, politicians like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, who have supported rioters burning down cities over the police who are sworn to protect those very cities, also want to subject individuals to the tyranny of the mob with no hope of help from 911 — no matter what the Jennifer Love Hewitt television show would tell you. Ed Note: It is not true that the Left supports or endorses riots. As a matter of fact, Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot stated "There cannot be any excuse for it, period. This was not legitimate First Amendment protected speech. To those who engaged in this criminal behavior, let's be clear: We are coming for you." That is the sentiment of the Democratic party. |

Ronna Romney McDaniel (born March 20, 1973) is an American political strategist who served as chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) from 2017 until her resignation in 2024. A member of the Republican Party and the Romney family, McDaniel was chair of the Michigan Republican Party from 2015 to 2017. She served as an NBC News political commentator for a few days in March 2024. During McDaniel's tenure as chair of the RNC, the Republican Party lost eight gubernatorial elections, four seats in the United States Senate, 20 seats in the House of Representatives, and the presidency. In December 2022, Axios wrote that McDaniel "has thus far failed to preside over a single positive election cycle." McDaniel is a granddaughter of Michigan Governor and businessman George W. Romney and a niece of Massachusetts Governor and U.S. Senator Mitt Romney of Utah. She is known for her prolific fundraising and staunch support for former President Donald Trump while RNC chair. Under her leadership, the RNC ran ads for Trump's 2020 campaign as early as 2018, placed numerous Trump campaign workers and affiliates on the RNC payroll, spent considerable funds at Trump-owned properties, covered Trump's legal fees during the Russian interference investigation, hosted the Fake News Awards, and criticized Trump critics within the Republican Party.
“But to hire somebody for supposedly $300,000 a year, who’s going to be – not only an election denier, which she was after the 2020 election – but somebody who worked and was calling people in Michigan trying to get them not to certify the vote. So, she was an election-denying enabler. To me, that’s a bridge too far.” |

Our food systems are in serious need of an overhaul. Over the last 60 years, per-capita meat consumption has roughly doubled, and is now at unsustainable levels. During that same period of time, the number of billionaires in the world has increased dramatically as well. This confluence of trends raises an important question: what, if anything, are the world’s billionaires doing to fix our food systems, and help us transition into a more climate-friendly way of eating? Meat production fuels a number of long term environmental impacts, which is one reason why the precipitous rise in meat consumption over the last few decades is such a big problem. The livestock industry is responsible for between 11 and 20 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions globally, with 80 percent of all agricultural land going to livestock production. Beef production is the top driver of deforestation worldwide, and deforestation is an enormously destructive process that destroys ecosystems, reduces biodiversity, erodes soil and emits massive amounts of greenhouse gasses. At the same time, the world’s population is predicted to swell to 9.7 billion people by the year 2050, which means many more people potentially eating more meat. Researchers warn that the global appetite for meat will eventually exceed our capacity to produce it on this planet. --Seth Millstein: 9.15.24; Good Men Project: How Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates and Musk Are Trying — Or Not Trying — To Make Meat Sustainable
