Jesse Watters said today that "Trump is being treated worse than prisoners in Guantanamo Bay." A ludicrous idea but that kind of stuff is why Jesse Watters is like the National Enquirer of rightwing "news."
Some ideas why Jesse Watters thinks he is an expert on Guantanamo: 1) His dad spoke fluent Guantanamese 2) Watters was locked in a bathroom for a whole 30 minutes once and can relate 3) He is making it up because he likes to say "Guantanamo" 4) He thinks water boarding is a Guantanamo word for surf board. 5) He had an imaginary friend once who broke out of Guantanamo. 6) OK, so his imaginary friend didn't like to talk to him either, and he doesnt know where he came from, so there. .. ---

JESSE WATTERS; The GENIUS.🙄
Fox News’ Jesse Watters said the hush money case against Donald Trump is “pure evil." He, of course, is pretty clueless when it comes to defining what is "evil" as is the case for most of the Fox News anchors and hosts. He explained: “So, they’ve taken away his freedom of speech, and now they have taken away his freedom of movement. He has to sit there all week for six weeks. And if he says anything, they’ll throw him in jail. If he leaves, they throw him in jail. That’s crazy! I mean, they had more allowances for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed . I think they bought a million-dollar soccer field for the people in Gitmo. I don’t know if Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was able to visit his son for his high school graduation, but it’s similar.” ??? The Maga right, who claim to be the smart ones, when it comes the Constitution and all things legal....really have no clue. Donald Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying records. This does not make him king of the court room..it makes him an indicted suspect who needs to abide by the rules of the court. When one of the rules is "don't talk unless questioned" that's got to be a hard one for Trump, but it is the court rules for everyone and Trump is NOT above the law. If I were in court and said the things Trump said, I would already be sitting in jail on contempt charges. Remember, no one is above the law. I am on the understanding that the gag order will be discussed tomorrow.....and should be interesting...and hopefully productive. BUT, did Watters stop with what I mentioned he said above? Of course not. I have to wonder if maybe he is some lost child spawn of Trump by some woman he p**** grabbed and he didnt want to pay child support so Trump just left. And I say that because Watters just runs and runs with his mouth and says the most ridiculous stuff. (He's overpaid no matter what they are paying him). Anyway, so he says Trump "needs exercise. He's usually golfing. And so, you're going to put a man who's almost 80, sitting in a room like this on his butt for all that time? It's not healthy. You know how big of a health nut I am. He needs sunlight and he needs activity. He needs to be walking around, he needs action. It's really cruel and unusual punishment to make a man do that. And any time he moves, they threaten to throw in prison." Huh??? The good news is that Jesse Watters is not a judge and is not on any jury. Justice would never be served. Justice is just not a popular thing for Republicans and Right Wing pundits. I have to stop saying 'How stupid can you be?' There are people who are taking it as a challenge!--Zorek Richards |

Harry and Meghan’s Kids Won’t Appear in Netflix Shows: Report
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be up and running with filming their new Netflix shows, but don’t expect to see their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in either of them, the Sun on Sunday reports. Meghan is making a lifestyle show, an early salvo of which came last week with the delivery of 50 pots of her American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam to selected influencers. Harry’s new show will be about the sport of polo. The Sun reports that Harry is more adamant about not letting the kids appear on screen than Meghan. An insider told the paper: “Harry and Meghan have not always agreed on how much they should expose their children to the media but, in this case, Harry has clearly won.”

Stephen A. Smith roasted by NAACP for Donald Trump take
HBCU alumnus and First Take star Stephen A. Smith is never one to shy away from controversy. The ESPN mainstay is known for his unapologetic takes on sports but he's worked to establish himself as an all-around cultural critic via his iHeartMedia podcast The Stephen A. Smith Show. Smith often talks about non-sports topics, including the political news of the day. However, his political takes aren't often met with a lot of fanfare. A perfect example is the response to his interview on Fox News's show Hannity. Sean Hannity invited Stephen A. Smith onto the show to speak about his comments criticizing Democrats for what he considers as unfair prosecution of former president Donald Trump for his New York hush money trial. Comments that he made in the interview about Trump drew ire on Twitter/X on Friday.

INTERVIEW: George Farmer on his Catholic Faith and being married to a US media star
I met George Farmer, entrepreneur, former CEO of Parler, and husband to US media personality and commentator Candace Owens, after the Good Friday Passion at the Brompton Oratory. We were introduced through mutual friends, and he was keen to meet in person to discuss a potential interview. “I have prayed on it, and I am going to do it,” he said, allowing me to relax into our appropriately dull Good Friday soft drink-based session. Farmer had previously made a commitment to staying out of the media, so the decision was not made lightly. “Besides, the Herald is my favourite magazine,” he added, admitting that he recently gave up a subscription to the Spectator in favour of it.

Jenny Holzer Is on the 2024 TIME100 List
I first encountered Jenny Holzer’s Truisms anonymously plastered in the Lower East Side where we both lived. We were members of the artist collective Colab and for a time lived in the same building. Jenny used words as agitprop. They were declarative, inflammatory, and provocative. She claimed no authorship but questioned the authority of language. They were rants that exemplified the predicament we faced in New York City in the late ’70s. Since then, her work has expanded in form and voice to include poets, redacted government texts, and layered words of internationally renowned writers who address the great issues of our time. Her 1989 show at the Guggenheim was one of the best I’ve seen, and I’m glad that she’s having another exhibition there this year. Jenny has allowed her art to grow by embracing collaboration and new technologies, but her singularity as an artist has always persevered and her work continues to be radical.

On Wednesday (April 17), TIME published its annual “Most Influential People” list for 2024, with the Atlanta native being the sole Hip Hop artist being acknowledged.
Burna Boy (who is also on the list) wrote the Without Warning hitmaker’s blurb, and it reads as follows: “I trust my gut when it comes to my music and collaborations, and I find myself naturally drawn to artists like 21 Savage—those who remain grounded in their convictions and consistently defy the constraints imposed upon them. We want hospitals to be protected sites.”At the same time, Miller acknowledged the complexities inherent in conducting the war, saying: “It would be great if Hamas stopped hiding behind civilians and stopped hiding inside civilian infrastructures including hospitals.” Miller also stressed that “Israel needs to have a sustainable, long term strategy when it comes to Gaza. It’s not enough to just clear certain neighborhoods or hospitals, or any other geographic areas or buildings of Hamas.” Fox News star Mark Levin, the pro-Trump host of the weekend show Life, Liberty & Levin, responded to a news summary of the State Department press briefing by writing, “Desist these arrogant candy a** punks lecturing Israel on what it should do.” (2Paragraphs) READ MORE>>>>> |

Jonah Goldberg: Voters wishing for an alternative to Trump and Biden got one.
Unfortunately, it's RFK Jr.“Our campaign is a spoiler all right,” Kennedy said last week while announcing his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, in Oakland. “It is a spoiler for President Biden and for President Trump.” But there’s the rub: The same duopoly that Kennedy is running against ensures that he can be a spoiler for only one candidate. Hofstadter also said, “Third parties are like bees: once they have stung, they die.”
And the party they sting is the one they are closest to. As of now, it looks like Kennedy wants to sting leftward, at Biden. His choice of Shanahan — a progressive, young, Asian American, California-based tech lawyer — is one indication. Another: Timothy Mellon, the biggest donor to Kennedy’s Super PAC, is also the biggest donor to Trump’s. It seems unlikely that spoiling Trump’s candidacy would be his priority.

“The judge is threatening to put Trump in jail by pointing out that his liberal family is getting rich off this trial,” Fox host Jesse Watters said Tuesday night. “He just wants a new judge—one whose family isn’t funded by Democrats.” Trump’s attacks go far beyond simply requesting a new judge. The Republican presidential nominee has repeatedly attacked Judge Juan Merchan, his daughter, and his court staff and their families.

President Biden sat for an interview Wednesday with Univision, taking questions from one of the country’s largest Spanish-language broadcasters. The interview will air April 9, the White House said. Vanity Fair first reported that Enrique Acevedo was set to interview Biden at the White House. The outlet also reported Acevedo conducted an interview with Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez. Univision faced backlash from Democrats and some in the media after the outlet conducted a sit-down with former President Trump last November that was widely perceived to be a softball interview with little pushback on Trump’s answers.

Jesse Watters Offers Sad Excuse for Trump’s Silence on Evan Gershkovich
Jesse Watters rushed to Donald Trump’s defense Tuesday after a Fox News colleague called out the former president for not commenting publicly on Russia’s year-long detainment of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, claiming that Trump’s silence is likely deliberate because it’s part of a negotiation tactic. On The Five, co-host and former Democratic congressman Harold Ford Jr. noted Trump’s reluctance to mention Gershkovich, as opposed to President Joe Biden, who issued a statement last Friday condemning Gershkovich’s “wholly unjust and illegal detention.” Gershkovich, who had been reporting on Russia’s war against Ukraine, has been detained since last March after being arrested on espionage charges that are denied by him, the Journal and the U.S. government. In January, his pre-trial detention was extended until March 30. “You realize that President Trump has not mentioned Evan Gershkovich's name?” Ford said. “It’s not something I say with fondness.”

Fox Contributor Slams Tucker Carlson, Compares Him to 1960s Conspiracy Theorist Who Was ‘Excommunicated’ From the ‘Respectable Right’
Fox News contributor and Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen took a swipe at ousted Fox opinion host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday after a right-wing activist argued Carlson was once “a successful coordinating mechanism for the Right.” Christopher Rufo commented on the infighting within the right on X and wrote, “When Tucker had his primetime slot on Fox, he served as a successful coordinating mechanism for the Right. He set the agenda with his monologue, shaped the bounds of discourse, and brought in new voices to illustrate specific lines of argument. It will be interesting to see if Tucker, or Fox, can reprise this role, or if it has fragmented online in a more fundamental way.” (MediaIte) READ MORE>>>>>
