Sept 23, 2013: New York Daily News: Britney Spears may lip-sync her way through two-year Las Vegas gig: Sources
“Britney does not sing. She is being paid a lot of money to lip-sync,” says the source. “Her fans are none the wiser, but it is disingenuous of her to take their cash and not deliver a proper performance.”

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) was born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears began performing as a child, landing acting roles in stage productions and television shows. She signed with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999, which became the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist. During her first decade in the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and popular culture, followed by a much-publicized personal life. Her first two albums established her as a pop icon and broke sales records, while title tracks "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops!... I Did It Again" became international number-one hits. Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s, and became the 'best-selling teenaged artist of all time' before she turned 20, garnering her honorific titles such as "Princess of Pop".

In 2001, she released her third studio album Britney and expanded her brand, playing the starring role in the film Crossroads. She assumed creative control of her fourth studio album, In the Zone (2003), which yielded chart-topping singles "Me Against the Music", "Toxic" and "Everytime". After the release of two compilation albums, Spears experienced personal struggles and her career went into hiatus. Her fifth studio album, Blackout, was released in 2007 and despite receiving little promotion, it spawned hits "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me". In 2008, her erratic behavior and hospitalizations caused her to be placed in a conservatorship. The same year, her sixth studio album Circus was released, with the global chart-topping lead single "Womanizer", and hits such as "Circus" and "If U Seek Amy". She embarked on her highest-grossing global concert tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, in 2009. In October of the same year, she released a chart-topping single, "3", which became her third single to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Her seventh studio album Femme Fatale, released in 2011, has become the first of her albums to yield three top ten singles in the United States, "Hold It Against Me", "Till the World Ends" and "I Wanna Go". The same year, she also gained her fifth number one single when she featured on the remix of "S&M" alongside Rihanna.

12.12.12: Britney spears highest paid female in 2012

Forbes magazine has named pop superstar and X Factor USA judge Britney Spears the highest paid woman in music this year. Although Spears hasn't released an album or toured live throughout the past 12 months, she has still managed to achieve this impressive title based on the fact that she raked in an incredible estimated $58 million. The magazine explained that her income came mainly from her 'Femme Fatale' comeback tour that grossed $68.7 million worldwide and the release of her 'Femme Fatale' album, along with her fragrance line and other endorsement deals. Music attorney Lori Landew told Forbes that despite having a turbulent few years, Britney's attitude, popularity and strong work ethic work in her favour and would have helped secure the title: "Britney has an electricity that connects with audiences on screen and off, and it is that intangible quality that always seems to leave her fans, old and new, breathless." 08.20.12: Possible collaboration with pauly D and Britney Spears

He's a reality star, one of the highest-paid DJs and he's got 50 Cent backing his debut album. It's not so bad to be Pauly D — especially with a possible collaboration with Britney Spears on the horizon."I'm trying to get her to do a song. I've got my fingers crossed," Pauly D told MTV News at the first-ever MixTape Festival at Hershey Stadium. "It's 50/50. It's tough, but I got a perfect song for her. If that happens, that's a wrap."  And it's not just wishful thinking on his part. Pauly D, who opened for the singer during several stops of her 2011 Femme Fatale tour, revealed that the new "X Factor" judge has, in fact, listened to the potential track for on his new album. " 'I'll listen to it,' " Pauly D said she told him during a phone conversation. "And then she listened to it ... she likes it. She'll let me know." (SOURCE: MTV)

11.30.99: Spears does it more than one time

Having recently celebrated the milestone of 10 million worldwide sales for her breakthrough debut album ...Baby One More Time, Britney Spears's claim to her status as the reigning Queen of Teen is stronger than ever. The bubbly ex-Mouseketeer, who turns 18 this month, is perhaps most visible stars of the current teen-pop explosion. She's also the youngest female in pop history to have a simultaneous #1 single and album on the Billboard charts - in the album's first week of release, no less. ...Baby One More Time - produced by Swedish pop mastermind Max Martin (Backstreet Boys, Ace of Base, Robyn) and Eric Foster White (Whitney Houston, Hi-Five, Boyzone) - has spawned three ubiquitous smashes in the title song, "Sometimes" and "(You Drive Me) Crazy," and the artist's popularity shows no sign of slowing down.
