The pop wild child joined headliner Billy Idol onstage Friday evening for an epic collaboration of the rock star's 1983 hit, "Rebel Yell." Attendees were taken by complete surprise when Cyrus stepped out ready to rock Sin City's socks off, telling the crowd, "I'm singing with Billy f--king Idol, let's do it!" ![]() Rebel Yell UPC: 0411414502 Second album by British punk rock artist Billy Idol, released in 1983. It was very successful with four singles on the U.S. Hot 100 charts, while the album reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts. The album has been certified by RIAA 2x platinum and by BPI silver. The title track was recorded in only three days at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City. According to the VH1 show Bands Reunited, Scandal drummer Thommy Price was playing in a nearby studio during this time and was recruited by Idol and Stevens to record on this album. Price subsequently left Scandal to join Idol's band. All of the singles, but particularly "Rebel Yell," "Eyes Without a Face," and "Flesh for Fantasy" were hit music videos on MTV.

He stated "With all of these great heavyweight and cool bands playing Download this year, I'm going to have to come armed with my punk rock attitude, Steve Stevens, and all of my classic songs plus a couple of way out covers. Should be fun!"
October 30, 2018: Former Generation X members Idol and Tony James joined with Steve Jones and Paul Cook, former members of another first wave English punk rock band, the Sex Pistols, to perform a free gig at the Roxy in Hollywood, Los Angeles, under the name Generation Sex, playing a combined set of the two former bands' material.
