Bill Maher born January 20, 1956) is an American comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host. He is popularly known for the HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003–present) and the similar late-night show called Politically Incorrect (1993–2002), originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC. In 2022, Maher started the podcast Club Random. Maher is best known for his political satire and sociopolitical commentary. He targets many topics including religion, political correctness, and the mass media. His critical views of religion were the basis for his 2008 documentary film Religulous. He is a supporter of animal rights, having served on the board of PETA since 1997, and is an advisory board member of Project Reason. Maher supports the legalization of cannabis, serving on the advisory board of NORML. In 2005, Maher ranked at No. 38 on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time. He received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2010. Maher has earned 41 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a win for his work as executive producer for Vice in 2014. He has also received nominations for two Grammy Awards and a Tony Award.

Bill Maher predicts ‘it’s over’ for Trump Comedian Bill Maher said he thinks former President Trump is going to lose the 2024 presidential election in November on his HBO show on Friday. “Tonight, I’m saying, I think it’s over,” Bill Maher told political commentator and GOP pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson and former Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) on “Real Time with Bill Maher.” Soltis Anderson was quick to oppose Maher. “I do not share your confidence in knowing how this is going to go,” she said. She argued that, setting polls aside, Trump’s power is in the fact that voters know him and his policies, so he’s still able to hold his own. “You look at these battleground states, they’re still 50/50,” she said. Bill Maher name has been added to the growing list of people who have called on Biden to step aside: ‘My pick would be Gavin Newsom’. He added that following the debate, he and others can no longer “ignore the obvious” about Biden’s age. Former DNC member Khary Penebaker said Fitton's “'sources' were like 'hey, let’s see what s--- we can make up and get Tom’s dumb a-- to say'!" Four more Congressional Democrats said Sunday afternoon during a phone call convened by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The four additional members speaking out are Reps. Adam Smith of Washington; Jerry Nadler of New York; Mark Takano of California; and Joe Morelle of New York.
Pollster Nate Silver is calling on Joe Biden to resign the presidency after his ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos. Not to just drop out of the 2024 election, but to resign as president of the United States and leave office. Silver is not exactly known as a right-leaning person, so this seems like kind of a big deal.

According to the survey of 1,000 respondents, which has a margin of error of 3.1%, Maher is trusted by a larger proportion of the country than former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, podcaster Joe Rogan, and even CNN anchor Jake Tapper.
